As I look at the sparkling blue water at Agnes Water, I am typing the first blog entry of our big lap around Australia. We arrived here 2 days ago and it is sunny with cool ocean breezes. Yesterday we went to the town of 1770. This is where Captain Cook landed on Australia for the 2nd time after Botany Bay.
Here we walked from Cook’s Monument to Round Hill Lookout.
This was a distance of 2.8km.
What I like best about being in Agnes Water is playing up ball at the beach.Tomorrow we will be leaving to go to Emerald and then on to Longreach.
