On the way back down from Darwin we stopped for another dip at Bitter Springs and we stayed at Mataranka. In the morning we came across a PEACOCK PARADISE with lots of peahens and 1 peacock.

As you can see in the photos, the peacock is standing on a tree stump. We arrived in Tennant Creek in the afternoon of 8 July.  At Tennant Creek [at night ] we went to a Bush Tucker show. There we met Jimmy who was the bush tucker man. He showed us plants that smelled like lavender and lemon he also showed us bush bananas , bush coconut  and   witchety grubs. We ate them all. The witchety grub tasted like chicken and the bush bananas tasted like peas. The  bush coconut tasted disgustin . He sang some poems and showed me how to make soap by rubbing my hands together with a plant .  Tomorrow we are going to Alice Springs!
