Sun, Wave Pool and Darwin 4 July -7 July

We stayed in Darwin for three nights. On the   1st day we went to Litchfield National Park.

At the park we went to two water falls,

Florence Falls and…..

Wangi Falls

Near the water fall at both places the water was as black as the night sky because it was so deep. The water for these falls comes from the Barkly Tablelands that runs down during the wet season. In the pools at the bottom of the waterfalls there are fish and freshwater crocodiles but we didn’t see any crocodiles because they are very shy and don’t want to eat people.

Before we went to the falls, we visited the termite mounds.

There were 2 types – cathedral (really big ones)

and the magnetic (who build their nests north/south to stop them getting too hot).IMG_0218 IMG_0230

On the 2nd day we went to the Wave Pool at Darwin Waterfront. It was AWESOME!!

We watched the sunset over Cullen Bay. My favourite part was the Wave Pool.
