1770 – The Start of Our Trip – 22 June 2016

My sister is looking at the bright deep ocean, whereas I am looking at our caravan which happens to be our home for the next 3 months.

Two days ago we arrived in Agnes Water at 7pm. It was supposed to be a 6h trip but it was a 9h trip because of stops. We left home at 11.20am and began our perilous journey without the comforts of Wi-Fi or laptops.  After arriving at Agnes Water, we were forced out of the car and into the cold, but luckily the caravan was quickly set up and we were sleeping in our new beds (unlike at home it was not a double bed L).

The next day we explored the surrounding area and luckily for us we were allowed our laptops. After playing on the beach, we were hauled back into the car and drove to Cook’s Monument at 1770. Here we walked to the Round Hill Lookout and looked out over Bustard Bay. This is where Captain Cook landed in Australia for the second time after Botany Bay. Then we met Mr. Simmonds of the way back!  I was eaten alive by bugs, actually I mean I got bitten 2 times.

Today we lay about in the caravan park like big fat lizards and played on the beach. Tomorrow we will be off to Longreach and Sapphire.
