At a date that I cannot remember, we arrived in the Bay of Fires. It has this name because of the red lichen that grows on rocks along the coast. We visited a beach called Cosy Corner, which was probably one of my favourite beaches because the water was crystal clear and we got to hide and jump off rocks.
We stayed at a fishing village called St Helen’s and what is really cool is that they have this 16m dragon in the centre of town. From here we also went to the Pyengana Valley and saw another waterfall, St Columbo Falls which was a spectacular, non-terrifying ninety metre drop.
Next we took a gravel road to the terrifying Ralph Falls where we passed through the fairy axe murdering forest.
